How We Work With You

Good advice is mostly patience and careful paperwork. This is what you can expect from us.

Credentials that match the work

Our advisor holds the Series 7, Series 66 and SIE. We will tell you what each one covers and what it does not, so you know exactly who you are working with.

Fees explained in writing

Before any work begins, we explain how we are paid and put it in writing. If the scope changes later, we talk it through with you first. You will not find a charge on a statement that we never discussed.

Records you can find later

We keep an organized summary of your accounts, beneficiaries and policies, and we review it with you. When a family member needs it someday, it is in one place instead of scattered across old statements.

Recommendations explained before anything moves

Before we suggest a change to your portfolio or coverage, we explain why, what it costs and what you give up. You decide. Nothing is pushed through to fill a quota.

Your choice of where we talk

Meet in person at our office, or join from your kitchen table by phone or video. Couples can connect from two locations, and adult children can take part whenever you want them in the room.

What We Help Clients With

Our advisor is Series 7 licensed, Series 66 licensed and SIE licensed, and every service below starts from the same place: your goals, written down, and an honest look at where things stand today. Wealth management and financial advising bring the whole picture together. Investment management, retirement planning and tax management handle the moving parts. Legacy planning covers what passes to your family, and life insurance consulting reviews your coverage and helps your family organize the paperwork if a policy ever pays out.

  • Four people seated around a dark wood conference table, viewed from behind, as one man points to a printed family tree diagram beside a folder of forms

    Legacy Planning

We line up beneficiaries, account titles and insurance with your wishes, then leave your family an organized file and a plain guide to the claims they will face.

  • Two people at a wood desk in a private office reviewing printed forms beside a laptop showing a spreadsheet and a printing calculator

    Tax Management

We look at your portfolio, accounts and income through a tax lens, then work alongside your CPA so fewer dollars leak out each year.

  • Three people seated at a wood conference table with papers, a laptop and a calculator, viewing pie and bar charts on a wall-mounted screen

    Life Insurance Consulting

We review the life insurance you already own, show where it fits your financial plan and help beneficiaries organize their paperwork when a policy pays out.

What Shapes the Cost of Advice

Fees follow the amount of work your situation calls for and the kind of service you want from us. We would rather learn the details of your finances first and put a figure in front of you once it means something. These are the factors that usually make the difference.

We explain how we are paid during our first conversation and give it to you in writing before any work begins. If the scope changes later, we discuss it with you before anything is adjusted.

How complex your finances are
One retirement account takes less analysis than several brokerage accounts, a pension, rental income and a business. Each added piece brings more research and more coordination.
One-time plan or ongoing management
A written financial plan you carry out on your own is a different engagement from ongoing investment management with scheduled reviews. We explain how each one works so you can choose.
Business ownership
Owners often need help with a retirement plan for the company, succession questions and how business income fits into the family plan. That work adds time.
Legacy and estate questions
Blended families, trusts and beneficiary reviews across many accounts call for careful work, frequently alongside your attorney or accountant.
Insurance review
Reviewing existing life insurance depends on how many policies are involved, how they fit the rest of your plan and how complete the records are.

About Our Practice

Financial Advisor Keyport works with individuals, couples, families, business owners and retirees who want steady, long-term guidance on their wealth. We meet clients at our office in Keyport, and many prefer phone and video, which works just as well for most conversations.

We believe the quiet parts of this work matter as much as the investments: knowing where every policy is, keeping beneficiaries current and making sure a spouse or child can follow the plan if they ever have to. We keep those records organized and review them with you, so nothing important is scattered across old statements.

How Working Together Begins

Each step is short and you can stop at any point. No one is rushed into a decision.

  1. 1

    An introductory meeting

You call us and we arrange a time at our office or by phone or video. We listen to what you want help with and answer questions about how we work and how we are paid.

  2. 2

    Gathering the picture

We ask for statements, policies, tax returns and beneficiary forms. We organize them into one summary so both of us can see the full picture.

  3. 3

    A written recommendation

You receive plain-language recommendations with the reasoning behind each one, including costs and tradeoffs. We go through it together and you decide what to act on.

  4. 4

    Putting it in place

We handle the account work and coordinate with your accountant or attorney where needed. You get copies of everything.

  5. 5

    Regular reviews

Life changes, and so does the plan. We meet to review progress, update beneficiaries and adjust when a marriage, a sale, a retirement date or a loss calls for it.

Questions Clients Ask Us

Something not covered here? (732) 655-8654

What happens at the introductory meeting?

We talk through what you hope to accomplish, what prompted you to reach out and which accounts and policies you already hold. We also explain our process and our fees. By the end, both sides can judge whether the fit is right, and you are under no obligation to continue.

How do you get paid?

It depends on the type of work, such as a one-time plan or ongoing investment management. We go over it in the first meeting and confirm it in writing before anything starts. You will not find surprise charges on a statement later.

Do I need a large portfolio to work with you?

No. Some clients arrive with a single 401(k) and a question about retirement. Others bring several accounts and a business. What matters is that you want a long-term plan and are willing to keep it current.

Can you help with taxes as part of the plan?

Yes. Our tax management work looks at how account choices, withdrawals and investment decisions affect what you owe over time. We coordinate with your accountant, who still prepares and files your return. The aim is fewer surprises each spring and a plan that accounts for taxes from the start.

Is meeting in person required?

Not at all. Plenty of our clients work with us only over the phone or on video calls. Others like to sit across the desk from us at our Keyport office, and some do a bit of each depending on the conversation.

How often will we review my plan?

We set a regular review schedule together, and we also meet whenever something significant changes, such as a new job, a sale, a birth, a retirement date or a death in the family. Beneficiaries and coverage are checked at every review.
